RED STAR HISTORY

1991 was the year of Red Star. After so many close calls the biggest European trophy was finally taken by Yugoslav soccer club. Red Star went through preliminary games undefeated. In the finals it drew a scoreless tie. This time luck was on our side and after penalty kicks we were the champions. Darko Pancev did the honour by smacking the final kick into a net. In a very few occasions could you see, Red Star followers (Delije) siting along side its main rivals from Partizan (Grobari). This was one of those times, when every hart was beating with one purpose. Win for all of us!

Red Star is the most successful Yugoslav sports organization, winning most of championships and cups, as well as numerous international trophies. In that is included, European Championship, and World Championship in 1991.
